    Typographed by J.F. Celliers, perforated 12 1883 (April 5): 1 d. black, single example used with 1878/80 6 d. olive-black diagonally bisected on 1884 cover to pay the 4 d. rate to Cape Town, tied by circular "8" numeral obliterator in black with corresponding ZEERUST / TRANSVAAL despatch cds (April 7) at left. Reverse with 'Potchefstroom' transit cds and the obverse with three line ADVERTISED / AND / UNCLAIMED in red. The address insufficent with no Box number and the adhesives struck with 'Returned Letter Office / Cape Town' cds in black (June 7) and presumably the letter returned to sender. Cover #55 in the Jorgensen census, flap missing but attractive and very scarce.rnrnNote: The cover would have been advertised in the 'Cape Times' and returned if unclaimed after two months.rnrn
