    1858: 3 so. grey black and 2 so. yellow, both in type II, tied together by "VERONA 12/2" (1861) cds to entire letter to Milano, reverse with arrival cds in red (15 FEV. 61). Attractive combination to pay the 5 so. rate to the border between Venetia and Sardinia, while the postage in Sardinia had to be paid by the addressee and a postage due of '2' (decimes) was added. Patriotic franking of an Austrian dealer in Verona shortly after the loss of Lombardy and one monthe before the Kingdom of Italy was founded.
