    1807 (Sept 24): Entire letter from Hannover to Napoleon, Vendée (La Roche sur Yon) struck with fine two line 'No. 26 / GRANDE ARMÉE' handstamp in black (Reinhardt = 500 pts.). Rated '28' on front, the letter was signed by General Count Soulés who won a 'Sword of Honour' at the Battle of Marengo, was promoted to General in 1804 and awarrded 100'000 francs after the Battle of Friedland.
