1854 (March): Laureated 3 d. yellow-green on wmk'd paper, positions 43-44-45, a fine used horizontal strip of three, large margins all round, scissor cut between first and second stamp at top but showing portion of adjoining stamp at left, position 43 showing 'WALE' for 'WALES' plate variety, lightly cancelled in black (cert. Alcuri); also a single example from position 47 showing the 'WACES for WALES' plate variety, fine used with the variety clear Gi = £ 330+.
