    Stamp Duty 1879: Die Proof for 2 s. value in yellow-brown on green wove paper, 36 x 57 mm., engraved by Arthur Williams of Sands & MacDougall, typographed at the Victorian Stamp Printer's. Unfinished State of the Die with letters 'J' and 'L' missing from the top corners, these letters standing for Charles Jackson and Ludwig Lang who designed much of the 1879 Stamp Duty series. Eight Die Proofs are recorded of this value, see Geoff Kellow 'Stamps of Victoria' page 240. Few bends but scarce and most attractive.
