    1851 (July) / 1855: 2 d. ultramarine, on thick yellowish paper, Plate I, a fine used example on 1852 Evans correspondence cover to Albury, tied by "48" Tarcutta numeral obliterator in black. Reverse with 'Tarcutta / Crown / New S. Wales' datestamp (Jan 19), Albury datestamp (Jan 20) and 'Melbourne / Crown / Victoria' datestamp (Jan 22) and thus apparently forwarded without notification on the front panel (perhaps bundled with other letters). Stamp removed for checking and hinged back in to place as usual but an attractive cover.
