Apart 1914 (Dec 16): 1 d. on 3 pf. brown, Setting 10, position 2, a fine unused example with variety "GRI / 4d. for GRI / 1d." error of surcharge, of superb appearance and fine large part og. An extremely rare stamp: Gibbs recording just 2 unused examples (page 73 of the handboook), one ex the Marquess of Bute and this example which is ex Brown and Gibbs. This stamp is illustrated in Gibbs on page 75. No example in the collection of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A great rarity of British Commonwealth philately. Signed Tommy Allen. Cert.
