Stamp Duty 1879: Die Proof for 2 s. value in deep yellow-brown on thick wove cream paper, 36 x 57 mm., engraved by Arthur Williams of Sands & MacDougall, typographed at the Victorian Stamp Printer's. Unfinished State of the Die with letters 'J' and 'L' missing from the top corners, these letters standing for Charles Jackson and Ludwig Lang who designed much of the 1879 Stamp Duty series.
