    Ballon Monté 'L'Archimède' 1870: Entire franked by 1870 Siège 40 c. orange tied by Paris Star obliterator with 'PARIS (60) 19 NOV. 70' (6th levée) despatch cds and framed PD in red alongside to the 'Frankfurter Zeitung' in Frankfurt am Main. Content of this item is a report from the newspaper's own correspondent, flown from besieged Paris in the 31st Ballon 'L'Archimède'. The adhesive has a big tear on the left side, but an appealing and interesting item. Lhéritier handbook 2000 = € 2'300 / Maury 2016 = € 4'000.
