    1856 (Oct 13): Entire letter, unusually written in German (and the only recorded thus), mailed from Bacau to the Central Telegraph Office in Jassy, with interesting content "die hochverehrte Direktion möge ihm die längst fälligen 35 Galben (Gold Ducats) für seine ausgeführten Aufträge ausbezahlen" and struck with superb impression of framed "FRANKO" handstamp of Bacau (Kiriac fig. 205) in blue-black ink.
