    1854: Swan 1 d. black, a horizontal pair, margins shaved to fine and single lithographed 4 d. blue, three margins and with tiny corner scissor cut, used on 4 February 1856 entire letter from Perth to London, all cancelled by mute obliterators in black. Reverse with London arrival cds (Aug 27) and rated '1s.' due to pay in manuscript. The letter was sent to the Marine Brewery in London by Robert Mace Hapgood who arrived in Perth in December 1831 and became a prominent merchant with Mining interests and Shipping Agent.
