    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1856/57: Plate Proof by Perkins Bacon for the initial issue, 1 d. black imperforate on medium yellowish wove paper, an unused block of four, with clear to good margins all round (difficult to find - the stamps were misaligned on the plate, causing most multiples to be touched); minor ironed creases as usual but with evidence of small re-entries in 'Ceylon' and value on second stamp.rn
