    'Affranchissement de Fortune' 1870: Bordeaux 80 c. rose, quartered example (top left of stamp, just crossed by light file fold) used on 1871 entire letter to Lyon to pay the 20 centimes rate, with margins on the two remaining sides, tied by 1057 gros chiffres with 'Clerval' datestamp alongside (May 4) and Desiré Villeminot sender's cachet in blue at left. Part of the addresse's name re-drawn and reverse with arrival datestamp of the following day. A cover of great rarity. Illustrated in the Yvert Encyclopaedia on page 160. Unique. Signed Calves, A.
