    1849: Cover from Avignon to Lyon bearing Cérès 20 c. black on white paper, a superb example with large to enormous margins including parts of three neighbouring stamps, tied by mute grille obliterator, "AVIGNON 21 MARS 49" despatch cds alongside. Reverse with LYON arrival cds of the following day. An early and appealing item, signed Lamy.
