    1854-56 Third Nepal-Tibet War 1855 (Nov 2): Cover from Kerong, Tibet to Kathmandu with three oval negative seals of Capt. Singh, Capt. Shankar and Lieutenant Kashiram well struck on reverse in black. Notations of contents "Enemy is within our firing range - we are keeping a close watch on their activities". The dated receipt "1912 Kartik Sudi 4" = 2 November 1855). A very rare cover from this War.rnrnNote: In March 1855 Nepal attacked and occupied Kuti and Kerong (which they had lost in 1792) and Jhunga. The hostilities ended in March 1856, the Nepalese withdrawing from the occupied areas but receiving trading rights in Lhasa.
