    1867 (Nov 1): Cover from Stockholm to Harlingen, Netherlands, bearing 1858 Arms 9 öre violett in mixed franking with Lying Lion 20 öre red (2), three fine and fresh examples, tied by STOCKHOLM cds in black, two different FRANCO handstamps in blue resp. black alongside. Reverse with Kiel - Hamburg ambulant and HARLINGEN arrival (Nov 6) cds in red. Front shows '3½' (silbergroschen) credit to the GAPU in red crayon. One sideflap missing and some edge wear, nevertheless a desirable cover paying correctly the 49 öre rate to the Netherlands. Facit 8+16e = skr. 10'000.rnProvenance: Herman Toaspern sale (1920s).
