    Malta 1857: 1d. rose-red single and strip of 3, lettered TF and SD/SF and 1856 6d. pair in pale lilac, on 1862 cover from Malta to Livorno. The stamps are tied by three strikes of the Malta B duplex cancel. There are some traces of ageing, but nonetheless this very early cover is very attractive and rare. Signed Emilio Diena.
