    1840: 1 d. black, Plate 4, lettered AI, a fine example with large even margins all round and showing some wear to the Plate, used on local Edinburgh entire letter to Queen Street tied by two strikes of the red Maltese Cross. Reverse with Edinburgh datestamp (Sept 24) struck in red. File folds well away from the adhesive, a fine entire.
