    1848, Embossed, 10 d. brown, cut to shape, used on cover in combination with 1854, 1 d. red, perf.16, from Brighton to Montreux, dated 5 April 1854, tied by "132" numeral, with "P.D." oval crossed out, "INSUFFICIENTLY/STAMPED" mark in red, a "130" manuscript and Calais transit alongside, arrival to reverse dated 9 April 1854, toned in places, soiled, although scarce use of the newly issued perf. 16 on an overseas mail and combined with an embossed; according to Ray Simpson the third overseas usage recorded of the officially perforated penny red.
