    1924: Aviation School - Perkins Bacon Essay for proposed Airmail 25 c. value, entirely hand-painted on small thick card (44 x 39 mm.), in black, deep slate-blue and legends and value picked out in Chinese white. Close to the issued design but vignette showing plane in flight. Beautiful and exceptional Essay showing supoerb workmanship. Unique. Ex collection Jaime Ortiz-Patiño.
