    1853 (July): Perkins Bacon Trial Proofs of the Diadem '6 d.' value on album page sized document headed "No. 3 Cols." with ink recipes alongside imperforate Proofs (5), each with waxed voided corners, the first endorsed 'Penny Postage' in orange-red, 'Twopenny' in deep Chinese blue, 'Threepenny' in bright green, 'Sixpenny' in deep indigo and 'Shilling' in rose.
