    1853 (July): Diadem Issue Colour Scheme by Perkins Bacon, headed "No. 3 Cols." at top, with imperforate "6 d." Proofs (5) each with waxed corners for proposed 1 d. value in orange-red, 2 d. in bright blue, 3 d. in green, 6 d. in indigo-blue and 1 s. in vermilion with the colour recipes and measurements alongside each Proof in manuscript; endorsed at base "Colours sent to Australia, July 1853". The Sir Miles Rivett-Carnac collection housed the 'unsent' example retained by Perkins Bacon (lot 133).
