    1856, 6 d. lilac, plate 1, three singles, used with 1857, 1 d. red, lettered DF, and 1858, 2 d. blue, plate 8, lettered RI, on cover from London addressed to; Major Edwards, 2nd Madras Light Calvry, East Indies, dated 17 March 1860, tied by "London NW 12" duplex in black, endorsed "Via Marseilles" and "Via Bombay", with faint green "St Johns Wood" undated on reverse and smudged Bombay in red, slight stains and soiling, otherwise a fine and scarce tri-colour mixed line engraved and Surface Printed cover, sent at the 1 s. 9 d. rate upto 3/4 oz.rn
