    Ballon Monté 1870 (Sept. / Oct.): Two covers endorsed at top 'Garde Mobile / Garde Mobile de la Seine' sent stampless at free Military Concession rate to Vannes / Nevers, struck with"PARIS / R. DE BONDY" (Sept. 23) and  "PARIS / 60" (Oct. 21) cds's, respectively, framed "P.P." in red or black alongside. Carried from besieged Paris on the Ballon Montés No. 2 "La Ville de Florence" and No. 17 "Le Garibaldi A", showing on reverse arrival cds's of October 23 and November 1, respectively. Rare group Maury = € 1'450+.
