    1865 (June 13): Cover from Marseille to Napoli, bearing Napoléon perf. 80 c. rose, a fresh and fine adhesive, tied upon arrival by Italian "NAPOLI 13 GIU 65 M 8" cds in black and by two-line "PIROSCAFI MERCANTILI ESTERO" handstamp in red. Distribution 'IV' handstamp alongside. A most attractive double rate cover to Italy, despatched directly to a commercial vessel in Marseille, the adhesive not cancelled earlier than in Naples. Maury = € 1'650 for a 40 c. usage with Italian datestamp.
