    1867/70: 6 d. blackish-brown, single example used with 9 d. blackish-brown horizontal pair on 1871 cover from Colombo to Linlithgow, Scotland endorsed 'via Brindisi'. The adhesives somewhat heavily cancelled by Colombo duplexes (Sept 30) with Linlithgow arrival cds (Oct 30) on reverse. A scarce 2 shilling double rate cover and a most unusual franking.
