    Confederate States 1863: USA 3 c. red postal stationery envelope overprinted "Confederate States of America" for the Post Office Finance Department, "Finance" deleted and countersigned by Chief of the Appointment Bureau "B.N. Clements", mailed to Kershaw District, South Carolina with "FREE" handstamp and "RICHMOND / VA" despatch cds (31 March, 1863) in black. Small opening fault and top flap missing but rare.
