    1864: Prepaid stampless cover with GLATZ despatch cds (14/10) addressed to Passenger on board the Hamburg Barque 'Else' care of the Hamburg Consul in Hong Kong, China; endorsed 'paid (frei)' and 'via England'. Struck with violet 'P.D.' and manuscript crayon '14¼' (silver groschen) and thence with 'London / Paid' datestamp (17/10) in red and handstruck '1d.' charge marking. Reverse with minor flap fault but with fine HONG KONG arrival datestamp (Dec 10) struck in blue. An unusual cover to a most unusual destination.
