    50 reis blue on white paper, horizontal pair used on cover from Rio de Janeiro to Estacao de S. Anna, endorsed at top 'per Estrada de ferro D. Pedro II', the pair, in a deep shde, being cancelled by barred circular handstamps in black. Fine strike of CORREIO GERAL DA CORTE / BRAZIL 5 / 7 / 1866 datestamp below, the fifth day of issue. Right hand stamp with vertical file fold but extremely rare: The earliest recorded usage of the Dom Pedro issue on letter.
