    1860/61: 1 d. blue, four examples, margins touched to large for this issue, used on January 1862 double weight entire letter to Cochabamba, Bolivia tied by 'Tacna' datestamps in black (Jan 20); together with two further covers each carried internally, one bearing a pair of 1 d. in a deep shade used to Lima, the other with two 1 d. blue tied in manuscript with notation '2r.' alongside.

    1860: 1 dinero deep blue, Second Setting, single and a horizontal strip of five, all used on 1862 cover, side flaps missing, mailed from Islas de Chincha to Genova, Italy; tied by dotted ISLAS handstamps in black (Emsing E1 = 40 pts) and by LIMA transit cds (Dec 29) in black. Mailed via Panama and Colon to St. Thomas on RMSP 'Tamar' and thence to Southampton on the 'Atrato', with London cds on reverse (Jan 31, 1863) where struck with Anglo-French accountancy marking '2F 87½ c.' in black. An extremely rare cover, one 1 d. stamp missing but an extraordinarily high franking for this issue, undoubtedly the highest usage to an overseas address. Cert. Moorhouse (2011).

Minor file folds but a very scarce franking for the double rate.

    1860: 1 dinero deep blue, single example used on 7 August 1861 cover from Tacna to Lima, with a possibly re-used example cancelled by heavy circular datestamp in black - this accepted by the Post Office - but the cover was still underpaid 1 dinero (distance above 25 leagues) and thus "Deficit / 1 rl." applied in manuscript alongside. An unusual cover.

    1862: 1 d. rose-red, a diagonally bisected example used on 1866 cover from Lima to Callao by train, endorsed "Tren de las 3" at top, tied by 'Lima' cds (16 April) in black, with faint oval Distribution marking at right. The cover with weak folds but very scarce: the bisect usage was authorised between January 1 - June 6, 1866 on the Railway route between Callao-Lima-Callao and Lima-Chorillos-Lima only Scott = $ 350.

Thence carried via British P.O. with single ring ARICA cds in red on front (Nov 7), circular British P.O. PANAMA TRANSIT cds in black (Nov 20). Reverse with London transit cds in red (Dec 13) and framed 'GB / 1F 90c.' Accountancy marking applied in black. Framed 'F*58' Franco-Italian Convention marking applied in transit in Paris and charged with handstruck '14' in black (1 lire 40 centesemi). Genova arrival on reverse (Dec 16).     1896/1951c.: First Flight covers, incl. post WW2 First Flight by British South American Airways at 1 s. 6 d. rate and return covers, BSAA brochure advertising flights to Chile (£375 return), together with a splendid selection of "P.H." markings (Pasada La Hora = Too Late) with early 1897 cover franked at 11 cents to Nebraska with oval "PASADA LA HORA / CALLAO, PERU", later strikes of "P.H." in circle in red, violet or black and unframed in violet, blue or black; straight line "Pasada la hora" cachets framed and unframed. J No. 2" datestamp (May 31) in black (Salles fig. 1076), taxed '10' with corresponding Italy 1870 Postage Due 1 lire tied 'Dego' cds on receipt (July 1), reverse with Acqui and Alessandria transit cds's.     1859/1959ca: Interesting collection hundreds stamps used/unused incl. 1859 fine impression 1 r. blue unused, coarse impression, 1862 ½ c. used, 1863/65 Eagle definitives, 1866 Arms definitives up to 2 r. yellow used/unused and ½ r. in a strip of three used on the second day after issue, 1873/75 with diff. ovpts., 1882 Bolivar in two diff. printings, add. forgeries noted as such, 1899 Bolivar up to 2 b. golden-yellow, signed Bühler, 1900 Bolivar definitives with '1900' ovpt., in addition compl. revolutionary issues Carupano 1902 used/unused, 1903 Guyana used/unused, Marino 1903, and Maturin 1903. A very attractive collection in two albums with overal fine and fresh examples included, the early issues collected specialised for different printings, papers, shades, cancellation interest included, contains also used and unused postal stationery and some covers.
