In spite of the imperfections due to the cleaning procedure a fine cover.

    Brasov. 1854 (Dec 12): Entire letter, written Dec 8, addressed to Brasov, Transylvania. Passed from the 'Starostie Local Post' with fine strike on flap of oval K. K. AGENZIE STAROSTIE IN CAMPINA with oval Arms vignette in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 733) struck over numeral '2698' and date 20/12, thence carried by Courier over the border where mailed with Austria 1850 3 kr. red (HP, Type III) tied by ÖBER TÖMÖS datestamp in black (22/12). Kronstadt cds on reverse (24/12). A few minor faults to the letter primarily due to the method of carriage, but the entire opens well for Exhibit display. A remarkable entire and believed unique.     1858: 40 parale greenish blue on white wove thin paper, the magnificent horizontal strip of four with clear to enormous margins on all sides, used on 1862 registered cover from Botosani (Moldova) to Bucharest (Wallachia); the adhesives cancelled by framed FRANCO / BOTOSCHENI handstamps (Kiriac fig. 304) with italic RECEPISSE alongside and circular BOTUSCHANI / MOLDOVA datestamp (May 3) below (fig 273), all struck in bright green ink. The adhesives all show 'Manual Re-Entries' in the 'Cyrillic 'P' and 'R' in 'PAR' at top. Reverse of cover with Jassy transit (fig. 288) datestamp (May 4), Fokschani cds (May 6) and 'Bucuresci/*' cds in blue (May 11) of Kiriac type 340 which was introduced in May 1862 and effectively dates the cover: thus this rare cover is also the latest recorded date of use of the Second Issue.
