Apart", immaculate condition with single hinge remnant at top on otherwise full original gum. A truly wonderful stamp; sold to Lady Joan Joicey in November 1932 and still accompanied by Charles Nissen's original letter "I am submitting herewith for your inspection a 1/- octagonal, thread each side, an extremely rare item. There is only one other copy known, and I am not quite sure whether Captain Grainger has it or whether it is in the Royal collection...The price is £ 17. 10 s.".
