    RMSP & Messageries Impériales 1875 (March 15): Entire letter from Pointe a Pitre to Cayenne, Guyane Française, endorsed "Steamer", franked by General Issues 1872/7 30 c. grey-brown imperforate horizontal pair, large margins all round and portions of adjoining stamp at right, tied by dotted lozenge in black with circular "PAQ. ANG. / POINTE A PITRE" cds (March 16) in black. Sent via British P.O. with "GUADELOUPE / PAID " cds in red (March 17) and "GUADELOUPE" cds in red on reverse. Carried on the RMSP "Ebro" to Demerara where trans-shipped to the Ligne C "Cacique" and struck with superb and immensely rare octagonal "DEMERARI / PAQ. FR. C No. 1" datestamp (March 26) in black (Salles fig. 1531 = RR "Pieces d'amateur"). Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 164. A wonderful cover in all respects. Signed Calves. Cert.     RMSP 1864: Cover from Cayenne to Bordeaux at triple rate, endorsed "Par le Packet", franked by 1859/65 Eagle issue 10 c. bistre-brown in a vertical strip of three with third stamp "Timbre Couché" variety and 40 c. orange in horizontal strip of three, tied by dotted lozenge in black and by "CAYENNE / GUYANE FRANCAISE" despatch cds (Jan 1) in black above. Circular "Col. Fra. Angl. Amb. Calais" entry mark in black (Jan 30). Carried on the RMSP "Thames" to Barbados, thence by the "Derwent" to St. Thomas and the "Atrato" to Southampton. Reverse with Paris cds and Bordeaux arrival cds (Jan 31). Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 166. A delightful cover of great scarcity.

V. Angl." in  red (March 1). "GUYANE / CAYENNE" despatch cds (Jan 30) in black above. Carried on the Coastal Line from Demerara on RMSP "Derwent" to St. Thomas, thence on "Shannon" to Southampton. Octagonal "CORR. D. ARMÉES / CAYENNE" datestamp struck in bright blue and "GUYANE / CAYENNE" despatch cds (Oct 31) in black below. Carried on Ligne C to Fort de France, thence by Ligne A Paquebot "Martinique" to St. Nazaire with blue entry marking (Nov 23). The envelope slightly soiled and roughly opened at top but away from the adhesive. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 168. Rare. Signed Roumet.

"GUYANE / CAYENNE" despatch cds (July 1) in black below and carried on Ligne C to Fort de France, thence by Ligne A Paquebot "Martinique" to St. Nazaire with blue entry marking (July 29).
