    1850: Ladies Envelope with honorific address and nobility wax seal from Firenze to Korompa, Hungary, franked by Carta a mano 45 c. light blue type I, fresh colour and good margins on three sides, shaved at base, tied twice by "F. POST. II" Fieldpost handstamp (Sassone R3 = € 37'500 / Müller 322a = 680 points), reverse with "MANTOVA 19. GIU." transit and "TIRNAU 24 / 6" arrival cds in blue. An extremely rare usage of this Fieldpost cancellation during the Austrian occupation of the Italian States in the years 1849-1854. Receiver is Comtesse Henrietta de Chotek-Brunsvik (1789-1857) at her residency in Korompa in Upper Hungary, nowadays Slovakia. Signed Colla; cert.     1857 (Sept. 26): Ladies decorative envelope from Lecco to Vercelli, franked by 1854 Carta a macchina 15 c. red type III, fresh colour and good to large margins all round, tied by cursive "Lecco / 26 SET." datestamp, NOVARA transit in black, "A.1" Sardinian postal treaty handstamp for an item coming from the first Austrian rayon in red and "BOLLO INSUFFICIENTE" in oval in red alongside, reverse with Novara (27 SET) transit and Vercelli (27 SET) arrival cds. The cover was underpaid for a cover from the first Austrian to the first Sardinian rayon and was therefore taxed as totally unpaid, a due of '2½' (decimes) was noted in manuscript on front and had to be paid upon delivery.     Croce di S. Andrea 1852 (Apr. 17): Carta a mano 5 c. yellow ochre type I in a horizontal strip of three with complete St. Andrew's Cross at right of the stamp with fresh colour and large margins all round, cancelled by two strikes of two line "PADOVA / 17 APRe" datestamp on small entire letter to Venice, reverse with Venezia (18 APR.) arrival datestamp. The two left stamps show a thin on reverse just mentioned for accuracy, without any importance for this item presenting the only 5 c. with St. Andrew's Crosses on cover.rnOnly four combinations of 5 c. definitives with complete St. Andrew's Crosses had been known in the past including two single stamps with one Cross attached at base and at right, respectively from the collection of Alphonse de Rothschild, a strip of three with two Crosses attached at right ex Ferrari and Caspary and the item offered here ex Rivolta and Mondolfo being the only 5 c. with complete St. Andrew's Crosses on cover.     Imitazioni di Milano 1858 (June 15): Entire letter from Milano to Artogne, franked by two magnificent examples of 15 c. rosso vermiglio type I, the Milano stamp imitations made to defraud the postal services, of vivid colour and with large to enormous margins all round, tied by two strikes of "MILANO 15 / 6" cds, reverse with Corna (16 / 6) arrival cds. The sender seemed to have used these falsifications for months as other covers from him are known (photocopy attached). Very attractive and late usage, a rare item as only few multiple frankings of the Milano imitations are known, for an advanced collection, signed E. Müller, E.
