    1842 (July 2): Entire letter from Macau to Wellington, England endorsed 'per Benagalee' with notation inside that the original letter travelled on the 'Harlequin', struck on arrival with fair MARGATE / SHIP-LRE in black (Robertson fig. S4) with London cds (Dec 2) in red on reverse and rated '8' (pence) for Ship Letter fee. Scarce.

    1857 (Feb 12): Unpaid Entire letter with full contents written in Macao via Honkong to Marseille, endorsed "via Marseilles", "Vaucher Fréres/Hong Kong Chine" oval forwarder's handstamp in blue (unrecorded by Webb) on front, reverse with Hong-Kong (Feb 14, 1857) transit cds in black, front with French entry "PAYS ETR. V. SUEZ 31 MARS 57 AMB. B" in red and reverse with arrival cds from the same day. A fine and fresh private entire from a rare provenance, charged with '8' décimes upon arrival.rnNote: Albert-Émile Vaucher (1833-1888) using his company name 'Vaucher Fréres/Hong Kong Chine' was a  forwarder, at the same time Consular Officer of France in that city and representative of a famous watch producer dynasty originating from Fleurier in Switzerland.
