    1858: 1 d. blue in a used vertical pair and single 1 p. red, each with generous margins all round, used on 22 June 1858 cover from Trujillo to Lima endorsed 'por Vapor', tied by three strikes of oval framed TRUX in dots (Lamy & Rinck fig. 39) in black.     1858: 1 d. slate-blue, a used example with three large margins and just shaved at top, used on 1859 cover to France, tied by 'Admon. Gral de Correos / Tacna' cds (June 26). British P.O. "ARICA" double arc cds in black at right (July 7) and thence via Panama and London (Aug 16) where Anglo-French accountancy mark "GB / 2F 87½" applied in black. Charged '12' décimes with handstruck due on receipt.

    1862/63: Le Coq 1 p. brown, a used example on 1865 cover to Paris endorsed 'p. vapor voie de Panama', tied by 'Lima' cds (Oct 28) in black. British P.O. CALLAO single ring cds on reverse (Oct 28) in black, thence via Panama and London (Nov 29) where struck with framed "GB / 1F 90c." Accountancy handstamp in black. Charged '36' décimes due on arrival at the Paris Poste Restante. Slight acid ink fault on '1 onza' manuscript marking but a very scarce stamp on letter. Cert. Holcombe (1992).
