    Reunion 1852: Réimpression sheetlet with three 15 c. black and three 30 c. black, printed on thin blue wove paper, slightly aged as usual. Scarce Maury 1a+2a = € 650/Yvert = € 360.

    1859/65: Eagle issue 10 c. bistre and 40 c. orange used on 1869 cover from St. André to Vaucluse, France tied by perfect impression of the lozenge of 64 dots in blue, with equally fine strike of framed 'PD' and scarce RÉUNION / ST. ANDRÉ despatch cds in same colour alongside (Nov 19). Octagonal 'Col. Fr. V. Suez / P.F. Amb. Mar' in red (Dec 16) applied on entry in Marseille. Reverse with 'Chaumont S. Durance' cds and re-directed to Avignon (Dec 18). Tiny piece of flap missing but a delightful usage.

    1859/65: Eagle issue 40 c. orange, single example and a vertical pair, margin at left just shaved, used on 1869 cover to Langnau, Switzerland via Suez, the adhesives tied by dotted lozenge in black with RÉUNION / ST. DENIS despatch cds alongside (July 3). Reverse with Paris-Besancon TPO, Pontarlier and Bern cds's (Aug 2). An unusual destination for this issue.

    1877: 5 c. green on greenish, a fine large margined example used with perf. 1881 20 c. brick red on green on 1882 cover from St. Louis to Paris endorsed 'via Suez', neatly tied by scarce RÉUNION / ST. LOIUS cds (Oct 4) in black. Further strike of this scarce datestamp at right and Paris arrival cds(Oct 29) on reverse of an attractive and scarce mixed issue cover.

    1933: 50 c. on St-Denis 45 c. violet & orange, three examples used on 1936 cover to Beira, Mozambique, all tied by 'Saint-Denis / Reunion' datestamps (July 27) in black. Envelope with minute trim at left but an exceptional usage of a very scarce stamp used on commercial cover: just 1'036 stamps were issued Maury = € 1'050/Yvert = € 975 off cover.
