    1866 (Aug 11): Great Britain 1864 1 d. red pl. 92, a horizontal pair (CK-CL) and strip of four (BI-BL) used on 1866 cover from Guayaquil to Lima cancelled by four strikes of the "C41" obliterator wih double arc 'Guayaquil' datestamp of despatch below (Aug 12). Mailed during the 'Dispute Period' where the Ecuadorean P.O. attempted to insist that Ecuador adhesives and British adhesive stamps should be used, the British refused to comply as nearly all mail was transmitted by the PSNC. Reverse with Lima arrival cds (Aug 16). A few minor imperfections with blunted perfs. at right on sixth stamp but a rare and most attractive (and unique) usage.rnProvenance: RL, London, 21-22 Feb 1977, lot 1289; Investphila, Lugano, 10-11 June 2010, lot 302.

    1866 (July 3): Great Britain 1865 6 d. lilac pl. 5 used on 1866 entire letter from Guayaquil to Lima tied by fine strike of the "C41" obliterator, the reverse showing double arc 'Guayaquil' despatch cds (July 3) with Lima arrival datestamp (July 8) alongside. A fresh and fine entire.

    1878 (May 16): Great Britain 1874 6 d. grey pl. 15, a horizontal strip of four used on 1878 cover from Guayaquil to Vera Cruz, Mexico cancelled by two fine strikes of the "C41" obliterator and also tied by three line dated PANAMA / TRANSIT in black (May 21). Reverse with double arc 'Guayaquil' datestamp of despatch (May 16) in black. A very rare destination for British P.O. in Guayaquil mail, the cover would have travelled via St. Thomas and then back to Vera Cruz.

    1869 (May 26): Great Britain 1864 1 d. red pl. 110, 1867 10 d. red-brown and 2 s. blue, used on 1869 entire letter from Guayaquil to Barcelona, Spain, Puig correspondence, tied by two strikes of the "C41" obliterator with reverse showing double arc 'Guayaquil' datestamp (May 27) in balck. The adhesives further tied by circular 'PD' in red and handstruck "2" accountancy marking applied in London. Barcelona arrival cds (July 2) with oval 'Cartero' delivery marking alongside.
