    1865/1908: Small group of covers/cards (7) with 1878 and 1882 covers bearing 10 lepta orange pairs used from Lamia or Naphlion, creased combination cover with 1864 Austrian Levant 10 s. used from Scio Cesme to Syra taxed with 20 lepta, later cards with cancels of Astakos, Molaqi etc. Quality variable but an interesting lot.

    1872ca (Nov 9): Registered cover franked on reverse with unusual usage of Engraved 2 kr. orange in a single and pair and 3 kr. deep green all tied by "Nagy Varad / Ajanlott" datestamps in black (Gudlin 150 pts) with Arad cds alongside of arrival. Some minor faults but a pretty cover. Signed Ferchenbauer. Provenance: Ex Jerger, Corinphila sale 144, May 2005, lot 287.

    1871: Large form dated at base "Budapest 19.7.1879" and signed, with demonetised 1871 Engraved 2 kr. yellow (7), 3 kr. green (4), 5 kr. rose red (59), 10 kr. blue (18), 15 kr. brown (2) and single 25 kr. violet all cancelled by "M.K. POSTA / IGAZGATOSALTO / BUDAPESTEN" oval handstamps in black; with amounts of the returned stamps value in manuscript at side 55 kr. + 1 f. 80 + 2 f. 95 + 12 kr. + 14 kr. Many of the adhesives have faults which presumably led to their return for credit, however this is a truly stunning piece of Hungarian classic philately of excellent appeal to the specialist in these issues.

    1873 (Dec 6): Registered cover from Budapest to Foth franked with extraordinary usage of Engraved 2 kr. orange in two vertical strips of five paying 20 kr. rate, tied by "Budapest / ferencvaros" datestamps in black. Reverse with Foth/Pest cds of arrival in blue. Adhesives with one or two minor imperfections due to size of envelope but a scarce and attractive franking for the specialist. Signed Ferchenbauer.
