    Two covers franked with Polish adhesives, both with Romanian military censorship cachets (C:T: in double circle) and one with Krakow "K" in circle.  One is sent form "PODWOLOCZYSKA 30.VI 19", addressed to Vienna, and franked front and back with 10 x 5 h. Polish adhesives; the other is sent from "CHOROSTKOW 13.VIII. 19", addresed to the USA. and franked on reverse with 2 x 25 h. Polish adhesives. Rare and remarkable items, both accompanied with Dr. Zelonka's descriptions.

    Censored envelope from Podkamien, near Brody (as per senders address) to Vienna, showing provisional usage of unoverprinted Austria 5 h. dark green + 20 h. light green tied by "LWOW 2/12.IX.19", with Krakow censor label at left and and Jewish National Fund label on front and Herzl Jewish National label on reverse. Scarce and appealing cover in fine condition, only few such usages recorded. Detailed certificate Ceremuga AIEP (2011). Cover was carried privately by courier of a Jewish organisation (hence JNF labels) and posted in Lwow. Although Polish administration in Galicia declared Austrian adhesives invalid (since 20 January  1919), some later usages has been tolerated, especially from borders areas where Polish stamps were not available.

    1919/20: The Dr. Ron Zelonka written up study of Polish Military Operations in Eastern Galicia with 50 cards and covers showing postal markings of the Military Forces, including censor labels, provisional "Chorostow" and "Kopyczynce" straightline cancellations, commercial cover bearing Austrian 40 h. postage from Drohobicz to USA, card from a soldier of the 'Haller' army showing black eagle military cachet of fieldpost office No 29 as well as a card written by an officer of the Ukrainian Army (Commander was Simon Petliura) from Tuchola (15.VII.20) to Kalush, Galicia (Western Ukraine), which fought the Russian Bolsheviks in alliance with the Polish Forces. History at its best!
