    1878/80: Type Sage 35 c. blackish violet on yellow, clear to fine margins all round, used on 1881 entire letter endorsed "Via Bombay" to Mauritius tied by "INDE / PONDICHERY" circular datestamps (March 7) in blue. Carried on the P&O steamer "Surat" to Aden and thence on the French "Dupleix" to Mauritius with arrival cds (April 1) in black on reverse. An attractive entire.
