    1840 (May): Study of 2 d. blue (shades) with twelve used examples from Plate 1 and a further seven examples from Plate 2, with five cancelled by red Maltese Crosses and fourteen examples cancelled in black; showing the defining characteristics of the two plates with 'TW' joined (Plate 1), Ray Flaws etc. Nearly all of fine appearance but most with small faults Gi = £ 18'500.
