    1840: 2 d. pale blue, pl. 1, lettered BE, a used example with ample to large margins all round, used on Mulready 2 d. envelope, stereo a198, from London to Lancaster at quadruple rate, tied by Maltese Cross in red. Reverse with London Maltese Cross datestamp (May 30, 1840) of Lombard Street in black.
