    "Split Rates" 1863/72: 1 s. yellow used on 1876 entire letter to Calcutta, India endorsed "via Aden" tied by "Mauritius / B53" duplex in black (July 20). Struck on despatch with handstruck "10d." handstamp in red (10d to GB, 1d. to Mauritius and 1d. to France). Carried by the French steamer "Dupleix" to Aden, thence by P&O steamer "Geelong" with "Sea Post Office / D" cds on reverse (July 28) and Calcutta arrival (Aug 12). Slightly soiled but rare.
