    1844 (Jan 10): Entire letter from Port Louis to Bordeaux endorsed "via England p. Cove", placed in the post with manuscript Forwarding Agent "Acheminée par A.P.C. & Co." at lower left, reverse showing "MAURITIUS / POST OFFICE" despatch cds in black (Feb 19), landed with straight line "SHIP LETTER" of London (Robertson fig. S36). London transit (June 27) and struck there with framed "COLONIES / &c. ART.12" in red with British '1/4d.' charge. Thence via Boulogne and charged '5 francs 5  décimes' due on arrival. A scarce entire.
