    Epirus 1832 (Oct 10): Entire letter from Kalarites via Janina to Corfu, Ionian Islands with circulkar negative seal cachet in Greek ECHELLE de SAYADA struck in black (ΣKAΛA ΣAIAΛAΣ), with Postman's oval negative seal handstamp alongside. Disinfected with slits due to the worldwide Cholera epidemic of the early 1830's; reverse with manuscript notations in Greek and hooded 'Corfu' arrival datestamp (Nov 9) in black. Extremely rare, the Nicolas & Galinos catalogue record just seven examples of this cachet.
