    1854: Embossed 6 d. violet, a used example with just touched to good margins and showing portion of adjoining stamp at top, with 1855 4 d. carmine on blued paper, on 1856 entire letter at single rate to Genova, Sardinia tied by 'Preston / 628' sideways duplexes (code E) in black (April 17). Circular 'PD' in red below and calais entry marking, reverse with London cds, Poste Ambulante 'Torino-Genova' cds (April 22) and readdressed to Casale with arrival. A charming entire in fine quality Gi = £ 1'900.
