    1848: Embossed 10 d. brown, Die 1, a wonderful unused block of eight (4 x 2) from the top of the sheet with consequent huge margins on three sides, infintessimally touched at base not detracting from the appearance, each stamp overprinted SPECIMEN (Type 1) in black. Minor vertical bend at right and one stamp with internal split caused by the overprinting process, fresh rich colour and extraordinarily fine for such a multiple with large part og. The second largest block on private hands - the 'Koh-i-Noor' sale had a block of twelve.
